Employee and Dependent Scholarships
The Living Well Foundation provides educational scholarships to employees and their dependents enrolled at local collages or technical schools. Scholarships are one-time scholarships up to $1,000 restricted to the semester granted and are not automatically renewable. Applicants may apply each semester but are not guaranteed additional funding.
Deadlines for applications are October 1st for Spring Semester, March 1st for Summer Semester and June 1st for Fall Semester. Our Foundation Scholarship Committee will review the applications and decisions should be expected by December 1st for Spring Semester, May 1st for Summer Semester and August 1st, for Fall Semester.
Awards will be made in the name of the educational institution and presented to the employee (and on behalf of their dependent) by the Executive Director. It will be the responsibility of the employee/dependent to have the scholarship applied to their student account at their respective institution.
Guidelines
- Applicants must be active full-time or part-time employees
- Applicants must have been employed at least six months
- Applicants must be in good standing with the company
- Applicants must meet the need-based financial qualifications
To ensure our foundation is helping individuals most in need, grant requests are applied to a qualifying charitable class. We follow an industry best practice of defining a charitable class as 350% of the federal poverty guideline per person/family members in a household (poverty guidelines). Please reference the chart below, which outlines the household size, the poverty level income, and the highlighted column, which shows the maximum household income allowed for the award of scholarships.

Example
If there are two people in your household, the entire household income must not exceed $71,540 to qualify for Employee and Dependent Scholarships.
